Along the way, Severin was a three-time Commander, deployed to Iraq twice and Qatar once, and served at the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Looking towards the next round of programs, Severin's responsibilities shifted towards influencing industry Independent Research and Development (IRAD) direction, tech scouting DoD non-traditional businesses and new-technology start-up companies, and communicating Space RCO interests throughout the Space innovation ecosphere.

Space Advisory Group's official Mascot is an 18 month old Siberian Husky named Cayenne. While she prefers not to be referred to as a “COVID puppy”, she was adopted during the height of the 2020 lock down.
A graduate of Sit Means Sit, Cayenne is well behaved and obedient for a breed known for stubbornness. Bred for endurance and cold weather, Cayenne's main interests are trail running and cross-country skiing.
Fortunately, her person enjoys the same, and their home in the foothills of Albuquerque's Sandia Mountains provides them plenty of room to roam off the beaten path. Playing tug-of-war and devouring chew sticks round out Cayenne's favorite things to do. Oh, and she absolutely loves cheese. Any kind of cheese. If you're ever on a call with Space Advisory Group and hear her “talking”, know that she is just as excited as Severin and Andrew are about Accelerating Ideas into Capability. Or she wants a piece of cheese.
